Yes, THat was very good advice. I remeber I started out quite nervous but the more confident I got the more it worked for me.

Good Luck,

I would suggest not doing hypnotism in a magic routine, unless you are doing like stage hypnosis. Stage hypnosis is different from what we think of hypnosis though. It's safe though, and it's entertaining.

If you want to make it look like you do hypnosis though, try pseudo hypnosis. Stuff like shoving a needle through your arm (or a spectators) yet there is no blood or pain. Luke Jermay has some stuff that could be considered pseudo hypnosis. I can't think of anything off hand though. But pseudo hypnosis would allow you make it seem like you're doing hypnosis, but with out the dangers of actual hypnosis. Also, it's more reliable.

If you want to do stuff that looks like hypnosis - read Luke Jermay as I suggested earlier.

Also look into some of Kenton Knepper's stuff. His book Kentonism is a routine that looks like real hypnotism and is very convincing.

In true hypnosis there is so much individual response. Some people are more suggestible than others. What works on one person will not work on another. Drugs, alcohol, fear, calm, and more also effect it...making it more easy, or difficult. All you can do is try,and see what results. Once you find a really suggestible person, keep them around for further shows. 98% of stage magic is as phony as pro wrestling. The hynotized subjects are shills, paid by the hypnotist to pretend to be in a trance.

the thing dropped part of my last post. 98% of stage magic hypnosis is fake; relying on shills.
