I have my mom here, and I have 13 Steps to Mentalism on my screen. I click add to cart, so she can fill in the information...and it tells me it's out of stock! I need the answer quick, so please post: Is there another book that makes a good substitute for this?

You don't have to buy it from Penguin, you can get it in other places, too.

True - although Penguin's price is pretty competitive.

And did my suggestion help by the way?

You know - I answered him within 15 minutes. A simple thank you would have been nice... lol

Who cares? I help people all the time, and sometimes I don't get thank yous. You don't hear me complaining.

really there is no substitute, i recommend buying both 13 Steps and Practical Mental Effects. Why? you can never have too much mentalism!

Just go to some other site and by 13 Steps. It's the Bible of mentalism. There are many other great sources, but 13 Steps is a must have.

How can Penguins' price be competitive...on an item it does not have in stock? Not in stock means does not sell, and does not sell means no price. I shop Penguin first, but if it is out of an item I look elsewhere. Being able to buy what I want is competitive to not being able to buy what I want, and price is not that big a factor when it is a matter of paying, or going without. Keeping best sellers in stock is part of what a good business manager learns to do. Does Penguin need new managers?
