Hey guys,
I'm looking into this product and the only thing I'm interested in is the effect where the magician "heightens" the spectator's sense of smell to find a candy bar among the audience. I was wondering if I perform the routine that follows with the stuff I will learn from the book:
1. The mentalist has his back turned toward the audience, and asks the audience to select one spectator and bring him forward.
2. With the mentalists back still turned, he hands the unknown spectator a blindfold and asks him/her to blindfold him/herself.
3. The mentalists turns around and produces a candy bar in which he has the spectator smell, he then hypnotizes him/her and heightens his/her sense of smell.
4. The candy bar is thrown into the audience and is tossed around to any random spectator while the mentalist has his back turned.
5. The spectator turns around and looks at one spectator suspiciously, he/she selects him and the mentalist asks why. He/she says they don't know, and the mentalist shows that that spectator is the one holding the candy bar.
Please tell me if it uses stooges or confederates because I don't use them in my show.
