Hey guys!
I’ve got another thread to tickle you magic brains! (don’t ask, don’t ask)
Anyways, I would like to know what you guys think about using disclaimers in a Mentalism act or routine or show or whatever. Do you feel that it is necessary? Unnecessary? Do you use a disclaimer? And how do you do it?
Post you answers, thoughts, comments, questions...let ‘em rip!

Depending on which type of mentalism act you perform... ''disclaim accordingly''

If you feel that some of your material could offense a group of people or ''tickle'' their beliefs...

I'm not the kind of performer who try to prove everything, I implement my audience with a great show, and they believe in it or not, if you disclaim at the end of the show you ruined their pleasure, do it in the beggining.

A mindreader show doesn't need to have a disclaimer in my opinion, until your insurances tells you to. A Seance type of act could need a disclaimer.

There are no guideline to make a mentalism act, if you go on with someone advice you are just a mere copy of the performing style of this person, go on yourself, be unique, like everyone else!

As the late Dave Hoy observed, people will believe whatever they choose despite what you say or do.
