I am relatively new to magic and mentalism. I came across the trick Past Present and Future and loved it. Its a real gem. I've performed it twice, and got screams. Unfortunately I showed it to my father, and he completely destroyed me. He caught onto the method right away and in the middle of the trick, I said "we're done here", refusing to continue.

I feel slightly unconfident in this tricks power. It is very important to pick my spectator, but if they are very clever, should this fool them? I think that even clever people will end up analyzing the wrong aspect of the trick oblivious to the method, but apparently it didn't happen with my dad. Do you have any advice? Is this a good trick to perform in a group, if I pick the right spectator? I fear that in a group of 5-10 people one of them is bound to pick up the method. Thanks for your advice.

the trick is on anytime anywhere. I don't understand your post, what do you mean by "my turn". Thanks for trying though.

Oh! I haven't watched that DVD in a long time! I must go watch it now to see what you mean!

But yeah, on these forums I am known as the Sankey expert. I own almost 20 of his DVDs and 4 sets of his lecture notes. I can answer almost any question you have about it. If memory serves, this is the rendition of the old, "You pick the four of diamonds. You pick the ace of clubs. I pick the two of spades" and they all are correct, right?

i believe its the trick with the napkins, the sharpie. You ask them something from the past, (like a name) the present ( a quarters date) and the future ( like something they will do in the future)

Popchris, would you recommend the Sankey-Skutt sessions (if you own it)?

Why should I tell you? And why do you have to ask? It is Sankey, buy it.

My answer: Depends on how well you perform it whether it will fool people or not. (I DON"T HAVE A SANKEY FETISH!!!)

Miniserb will be here soon to do two things:

1: Join in about the jokes...
2: Up the number to 148.7

I'm actually here to discuss your opinions on Sankey-Skutt Sessions. Do you own it? If so, would you recommend it?

And since that was a terrible attempt by Drew, I stopped keeping score. He brought it back, and now the bad 2.0 jokes will come flooding as if someone opened the gates of edited itself.
