Hey must admit I feel a little uncomfortable posting this here just above the layman spammer but this is a genuine method question. Watch this affect...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oTd1ZsPSU2E

I could easilly replicate most of this affect, I could get someone to pick those 3 cards just like he does

I could have a prediction in an envelope

I have no idea how he gets the guy to actually name the cards picked. Maybe I'm just totally off on the method I;m assuming it's some kind of force but I could be wrong (some things are done by Derren while the camera isn't pointing at him.) Anyway if anyone knows how it's done and tell me what book I should be reading to get this method I'd appreciate it.

Probably pre-show or various outs.

Max.

I myself am a little skeptical of his handling of the cards in this. I think it may have been pre-show and a switch. As you can see him do a sort of largely obvious elmsley just before he places the cards down for the first time himself (that is, with the 3 cards he had slidden towards him). I think by now you'll know why I'm skeptical.

Well I assumed that was basicly the affect. The cards are selected and switched which is what I meant by a force I was just curious about how he actually got the spectator to name the cards he wanted. I suppose pre show work is as good a way as any.

I'm glad you have a sense of humor about yourself. I hate people who take themselves too seriously they just need to lighten up a bit.

Is 'Rev' the drummer from Avenged Sevenfold?

Way to stay on topic there, what a contributing post. My mind almost exploded at the number of valuable thoughts you placed in that post.
