How would you solve this:

3 objects are on the table. I turn around so that I can not see the spectator and ask that he pick up the 3 objects and place them in different pockets. Before this I've given the spectator a prediction regarding where he will put the objects.

Solutions?

This sounds a bit too suspiciously like you are fishing for the secret to Andy Nyman's "The Dead Zone."

If you aren't, then I'll just say that "The Dead Zone" is pretty much exactly what you are describing and can be found on his DVD set Get Nyman.

Note that the DVD set contains the "simple" method for this effect. "Dead Zone" is also available as a standalone effect for $1,195.00; however, that version uses a very different method which justifies the price.

My "solution," then, would be to buy Get Nyman, which contains some pretty nifty stuff in addition to "The Dead Zone."

Yeah I'm thinking that's it. Also I read on the magic cafe forums that a method to this is also available in Mind Myth And Magick. Haven;t got the book though so can't back that up.

I do have that book and I'm pretty sure it is in there. Not 100% but pretty close.

I'd solve the problem by buying The Dead Zone. You can find the original on Nyman's 3 DVD set. The Dead Zone Pro is another, far more expensive method. I was thinking about using Christopher Taylor's T3 system to do something similar.
