Anneman has both Practical Mental Magic and Practical Mental Effects, which is best to devour first? And is there great enough diversity between effects that justifies purchasing both books?

i think...those are the same books.
i dont have the one titled practical mental effects but from the product description page they it looks to be exactly like the other one.

mmmm, it does seem awfully suspicious both having similar names. But I think there is a difference between the two. They were first published 39 years apart, magic then effects.

im about 95% they're the same. one was printed by dover and one was by someone else.

Do you guys know the overlap between THE JINX and this book? I already own JINX, and don't really want to pay twice for the exact same material.

I'm pretty sure - not positive though - that Practical Mental Effects and Practical Mental Magic are the same book.

Also I'm pretty sure that all the material for Practical Mental (whatever) was pulled from the Jinx. A sort of "Best of..." I could be wrong. But that's been my understanding.

The both books are the same. I am 100% sure of this, When the book was first published in 1944 it was called Practical Mental Effects, then it was published again in 1983 with the title Practical Mental Magic by I think it was Dover.
