Favored method of extracting data?

I'm relatively new to mentalism. Just curious what methods do the pros use for extracting information from specs... Impression devices? peaks? pencil/sound/muscle reading? I don't do many mentalism routines (yet), but I like to use Richard Osterlind CT in the ones I do.

Personally I use the thought transmitter a lot. However, I only use that for names.
Otherwise, CTs are fine so are some forms of peeks.

I personaly perfer muscel reading it's just more my style. :wink:

You use muscle reading to extract data from somebody? Either you don't know what muscle reading really is, or you are using it in a brand new way that nobody has ever thought of (that I know of at least). That or you're talking about facial reading/lie detection/all that fancy stuff, which I highly doubt you can really do.

LOL....sounds as if he/she mistook pseudo methods for real methods.

Muscle reading can really only be used to extract certain types of information. Or, as eostresh said, it's used as an explanation to distract from a true method.
