After a year of serious study in mentalism and well over two months of serious scripting practice and rehearsal I am about to put on my first true mentalism show! Wish me luck.

The final cut on effects(not that it matters what anyone thinks at this point since it is too late to change anything!)
1. Blank Knight(John Archer)
2. Hypnotism Set Piece(magnetic fingers and hands)
3. Battle of the Sexes(Alvo Stockman)
4. Mental prediction Epic(post-it note version via my own methods and modifications from Nate Kranzo's "Diction")
5. Drawing dupe/cold reading segment(My own scripting using the UI gimmick)
6. PK Pixel (David Jade's effect from a thought of card)
7. Confabulation(My own routine. Spectator opens a box, inside the box is a corked glass vile, inside the vial is a pill capsule, inside the capsule is a tiny scroll on which three predictions are made)

Anyways, the show should be about 50 minutes. Wish me luck on Friday!

Just got back from the performance. It went GREAT! I was even performing for a gal who had seen Derren Brown live and said she loved it because it had all the surprises and and excitement of his show but in a more intimate setting. This mentalism crap is AWSOME!

P.S. I want to seriously thank everyone on the boards who helped out and gave advice as I started exploring mentalism. So to Bucky, Peter, Arkham, and Benji on the mentalism side of things and Akirafist for the hypnosis, and all the other guys who offered tips and advice along the way...Thanks!

Woah! I did get it on testimonial! "I liked it just as much as Derren Brown because it was intimate and I got involved..." sweet...for some reason I thought she said that off tape. Anyways, most of the video is dim and crappy but I'll post some highlights soon.

Woah... this might actually be the first thanks from someone I've gotten since they've become well adept with mentalism. I'm touched... You're very welcome for the help, and I'm glad you've seen the value in what little experience I have. Believe it or not, I've only done like 3 shows... and they weren't even paid gigs.

Hey...good advice is good advice! Heck after just this first show I think I could offer a lot of advice to someone preparing for their first show...After all My experience is still fresh in my mind!

just wanted to say I've been offline for about 3 weeks as I've moved to a new flat but now I've got internet back I'll check the whole thing out as soon as I can.
