i've been intrested in spoon bending for along time now, i bought the mind bender dvd from penguin magic and metal bending by patrick kuffs from another site a week ago.

just now i realize..........spoons are hard, maybe it's just my small, weak hands but i can't hardly bend any spoon. i tried the fork tine bend, they must make forks out of titanium or something !

can anybody out there, tell me what i'm doing wrong here, maybe tell me how to increase strength in my fingers, any input would be very helpful

Yes if you are a young kid with small hands then it is not something you will be able to do for a few years. There are some metal bending tricks out there that do the bending practically on thier own. You may want to write to penguin and tell them your situation (if you are a kid) and they may be able to help you out.

I have found that Wal-Mart sells a very cheap, flexible spoon. They are "Ice Tea Spoons" if memory serves me right. Don't go for quality, fancy looking spoons. Go for cheap, poor quality spoons as they will be less sturdy.

Chad Sanborn is from here in Raleigh and after his Mind Bender DVD came out, virtually all the Wal-Marts in town were out of those cheap spoons as all the local magicians made a rush on them when they got the DVD.
