I picked up this book earlier this week at a local book store. (sorry Penguin, I saw it on the shelf and it was the only copy they had, I had to buy it right then and there. :( ) I haven't had a chance to read it yet, but from some of the past posts here, I see that I won't be disappointed in this book. For those who have this book, have you used any of the routines decribed in the book in real life situations?

Thanks

The book is GREAT! It's written in quite an old style, but there is a VAST amount of valuable information between the pages. Most of the props mentioned are either common magician's props which most folk will have anyway, or if they are something specific Annemann always explains how to make it (I have some of his routine's in seperate publications and he explains how to do an entire 30 minute mentalism act at a cost of only a few dollars).

The effects in the book cover a massive spectrum, and are extremely inspiring. You'll no doubt get ideas for your own effects by reading Annemann's work.

Great book - sometimes hard work but still - a great book. You won't regret buying it :)

There is one card trick in it where you have a spec choose three cards, but he only has to think of and remember one of them. Then you can magically devine the card he is merely thinking of. This card trick alone is worth the price of the book. I do it ALL the time! This is probably the strongest ungaffed mind reading trick I do.
