Just get it i'm serious, Kentonism will make it appear that you put the spectator in a trance and then you proceed to mindread his thoughts. Or you can make them do actions that you send to there mind.

No reviews because I dont that many people doing this stuff.
I just got it the other day, but let me warn you this stuff is only for the serious in there field, because it does take some work on putting together your act because the book is not in any order and there are some "hidden'" methods that if you find them with study the book will reward you greatly.

It has some neat material in it.

I found that some of it I could implement immediately off of what I already do. Other stuff takes a little time.

Kenton lectured in Iowa last Christmas and I got to see this in action. The book seems to give it a slower feel, but when he presented it, he was pretty up beat. Nice pacing and it seemed to make sense. Sure you can slow it down and sound more mysterious, but I was impressed to see it put into action in this manner.

He is a great guy and if you get the opportunity check out one of his lectures and I'm sure he'll be happy to help you out if you have questions.

Most of his work is for the experienced Mentalist. Start with his wonder words.

So "Kentonism" wouldn't be for the begining mentalist? I read about this book and it sounds pretty amazing.

Trust me. If you're just starting in mentalism, don't start with Kenton. Immerse yourself in Corinda's 13 Steps to Mentalism, followed by Annemann's The Jinx (or the "highlights," Practical Mental Effects), and Water's Mind, Myth & Magick.

That should keep you going for a while.

Best of luck,
Neil

I agree with Neil - don't even touch Kenton's work until you're pretty comfortable with the whole suggestion area of mentalism. I bought some of Kenton's work some years ago when I first got the mentalism bug, but it just seemed like jibberish to me then. I re-visited it much later and thought it was great.

I'm origionally a hypnotist turned mentalist, Having spent so long in the hypnotic area I thought I would prefere to highten my direct suggestion with kenton and luke jermays books, I found though i knew every word they said already, I simply never thought of using my skills in the ways they do. I think for thoise with an understanding of the subconscious it will be childs play but i know a magician that can't understand the most simple method like rapport and he wants to be a hypnotist, I certainly wouldn't want to let a guy like this near anything to do with suggestion, he would simply mangle the whole skill, it takes experience performing to get voice tones timing and obervation correct.
