Anneman has it. Corinda's Thirteen Steps has it. Virtually every beginner's magic or mentalism book has a section on it. If you want to get to the good stuff though...

I agree with david_a_whitehead. A bit of advice. I have personally done a few different types of center tears. If you are doing work with larger amounts of information, go with Richard Busch's Peek Performances or Peek Encores. If you want a great looking tear with no switches or stolen paper (yes, I mean you give back all of the paper) get Richard Osterlind's Mind Mysteries volume 1 for his Perfect Center Tear. It also comes with other effects. You cannot go wrong either way.

expicit content was very disappointing. how much of this stuff are you truly going to use??? There is much better bending material out there and most of the stuff really is just rehashing the old. if you want to learn the center tear, that must mean that you are a beginner to mentalism (am I right in this assumption?) and therefore get 13 steps and learn it from there. Explicit content is not a good source. and the sources I listed above has far better "bonus" material as you guys put it.

and you should consider that knowing a center tear is not all you should have. the psychology behind it is the true power....for this read Ted Lesley's Dissertation in Paramiracles, or try getting a hold of Bruce Bernstein's thoughts on the topic in Conversations With Mind Readers. Very Powerful stuff. A center tear can be very transparent when not performed correctly.

i would like to know that as well. I dont do a center tear, i would rather do a peek. Either way, a good idea for performing this kind of thing would be to ask someone to write down a word of something that is of great importance. You ask them concentrate their positive energy (or whatever) to that paper that reminds them of that. you then reveal that. Its also good if you tell them to write down a word that you would definately not know anything about, like a childhood pet, or something allong those lines
