I'm planning to purchase The Xpert tommorrow I'm aware that it will not work with Bicycle and Bee brand cards. So I was wondering if anyone could tell me some brands that it will work with. Thanks in advance.

In case you missed the post under Advice:

It works best with some brands of European cards, and with cheap plastic-coated cards sold here in America in dollar stores for 50 cents a deck. I bought several of these 50-cent decks. They look nice, and have symmetrical geometric designs on the backs. You'll have to experiment with your Xpert on the cheap cards available in your area. If you can't find any that work, Neil does sell some on his website.

I do not own the Xpert (yet) so I am not really sure what exactly it is, but I would swear that NT previously announced that he was working on some attachment / extension / upgrade / whatever that would allow the Xpert to work with Bicycle cards.

Does anyone else recall hearing this, or am I getting delusional?

I remember reading about that. As far as I know, he hasn't come up with a way yet.

I thought my Vulcan Mind Wipe effectively eliminated that from your memories. Sigh.

In fact, I'm still testing what I believe will be THE solution. If all goes as planned, it will be included in my currently-in-production Xpert DVD.

Best,
Neil

Neil,

Is it going to be a L & L production?

Thanks

No, although I understand their audience is available for hire at a reasonable rate.

Best,
Neil

P.S. Hey, Supernaturalmagician -- nice moniker! My current show is called "Supernatural Chicago" (www.SupernaturalChicago.com).

i think ill wait untill they come out with the new one(if they are?) because i only use Bike Decks and it would be weird if i do all of these tricks with Bike decks and then do a trick with a cheap one.

It actually makes perfect sense to switch to a cheapo deck for an effect that involves ruining the deck by marking it up. You could even say something to that effect--e.g., "Well, I'm gonna need to write on some cards here; time to break out the cheap deck. Bikes don't grow on trees."

Or then again, you could just avoid playing cards altogether. I use my Xpert all the time these days, but I seldom use playing cards. There's plenty of other stuff to work with.
