I was wondering if there is a book or DVD that will teach me to get a spectator to forget there own name.

Thanks

Yes, there is, but not here. A small bit of searching will give you your answer...

Besides hitting them on the head I think hypnotism would work. It is a fun skill but, don't think you can tell them to steal stuff (their mind will take over).

Or you could buy a book that teaches you how to do it.

There are a few I know of, but can't mention them here. Listen to Mugician, search around.

study hypnosis. there really is no other good way. kenton knepper and luke jermay discuss methods of doing this, though I don't think anything like forgetting a name is in print by them (only forgetting cards), but if you relaly want to investigate this technique you should look into hypnosis.

Actually I believe one of Jermay's effects is just that, making somebody forget their name.

enlighten me. i havent come across it. jermay's "forgetting"effect has to do with a playing card. even if you conduct waking hypnosis it is extremely difficult to pull off forgetting a name. even jermay's forgetting of a card is not actually forgetting a card.

I don't even know why I am posting this, you could just do a search, but...

David, it is in the product description on Kenton's site.

"A spectator looks at a playing card. You cause the spectator to forget this card, and they cannot remember it. Included in this full explanation is how to cause people to forget their name temporarily and much more."

Of course, this is undoubtedly KK hype, but it is there...

Yes, most everything he puts out is hyped like this, but I do like his work.

Also, Jewels, I find it hard to believe that you spent 100 for an Ebook that sounds like some kind of knock off. Even if you did buy it for that much (which I really hope you didn't), it is against the rules here to mention anything about trading magic.

Personally, if I spent $100 on something and I like it, I wouldn't even think about giving it away to someone...

i re-read the jermay book where KK says you can make people forget a name. it doesnt seem like you cna do that in a show using those methods. KK talks about a subway as most people should already be aware of. if you are looking to do some derren brown type of stuff like from his Mind Control series in the subway cars, forget a about it. 7 Deceptions wont help.

The name forgetting is in Jemays book 7 deceptions. It is along with the card forgetting trick.
