the video isn't long enough to get a good understanding of the effect and routining of it. If it is just a version of simple sub trunk then it is one of the most exposed effects in stage magic. There are plans all over the net

well its sort of like a sub trunk.

I could build one that uses black art or mirrors.

or i could build a backdrop that crosses both sides of the stage and slip out there.

any ideas?

We use that in our show. I wouldn't suggest even trying to build it unless you want to buy a lot of stage lighting, curtains, the gimmick which costs thousands of dollars to make it right, and have plenty of performance venues where you will actually perform it. You need a stage with theatrical lighting.

I would suggest making a real subtrunk considering it is easier to perform and you don't need special staging.

But id really like to perform this because im gonna add a twist to it.

I cant say it because it would ruin it but i need to know where i can find plans for this sort of thing cuz i dont want to build a regular black art table

and find out it wont work for me u know?

Send me a PM. We can talk in private then. I know more about stage illusions than most people on here and I can tell you if your idea will work or not.
