I am preparing for a talent show in 14 months time. I know there are alot of threads about this but i would love some help. Why am i preparing so early? because i want win, lol! i want to show people what magic is like. that it is not just for little kids at parties. i want to share my passion (borderline obsession).

i have appearing and vanishing candles
and thats it (for stage of course, im a close up performer)
i am getting some doves in september
what else should i get?
money doesnt bother me...ive got 14 months.
ive been looking at a sub trunk.
??????
any help will be greatlly appreciated
thanks

Awesome stuff! A little expensive, but you did say that money wasn't a problem.

And you can Google "Illusion Plans" if you want some pretty large scale illusions which you can build yourself. I really don't know of any websites that sell illusion plans.

Best of Luck!

Here is a link to the video of a talent show I won 2 weeks ago! I ended up winning $500, a live performance on TV and a performance at a semi-pro baseball game in NY!. This was the second round of 3. I will post the other round when I get it onto youtube. If you need any help, let me know, I have a bunch of ideas floating around... There were about 50 other performers/groups. It was a campus wide talent show and there were abotu 500 people there watching. It was a lot of fun...Enough with the talk, here it is:

Dude you're making your own business in building illusions! Sweet! When do you think that it will be up?

Hey, thanks for the response, unfortunately I'm not sure when the site will be up as my webmaster has not gotten back to me in awhile.
I'll post when I know the date.

Until then... check this out: http://pic50.picturetrail.com/VOL457/87 ... 557791.jpg

Enjoy, Sam Pearce

Candles and doves work well together, look at lance burton's act

Of course, you'll have to spend many of those 14 months training and rehearsing with the doves.

AND that's only if you're allowed to use doves at school (assuming this is a school talent show)

Ever used a TT? If so, pick up Darwin's DVD on the TT. It's fantastic and has a lot of good tricks for stage.
