Hey guys. I'm doing a research project for one of my classes, and I've been trying to figure out what the average length of a stage act (say for a reunion party or something of the sort) usually is. I've done some searching (google, yahoo, ask, all that fun stuff) but am having trouble finding an answer. I just get lists of stage effects to purchase. So, I thought I'd just come to the experts. :D Any help you guys can give would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot. ;)

Depends on the show, but I would say anywhere between half an hour, to an hour. Anything too much longer, you run the chance of people starting to get restless.

I like to keep mine around 45 minutes. It's not an hour but it is not too short. It's a nice length.

Co-signed.

Half an hour to an hour tops. This is the general time magicians perform for.

Half an hour for a family reunion still seems like a bit of a stretch to me. Are you talking about a formal, informal, or professional, paid act?

I always heard the time is relative to the audience or setting.

If its a big event, and/or a big audience, go longer, like an hour. But if its just a smaller show for a smaller audience, just half an hour.

But I'm not a stage magician, and I probably have like three or four years to go before I will be able to perform a good stage show, so maybe thats not the best advice about time, idk.
