I'm getting Cardiographic, but there are 2 different types of it, and I'm asking if the 3 of hearts or diamonds if more effective than the 5 of diamonds, or 7 of hearts.

The refills come with both I believe, and either works.

Actually I think you can, you can make a home-made one:

Absolutely. If you're a crafty person, get his DVD and make your own.

Ben Salinas showed the one he made, it is not easy. I also like the smaller version out. El Duco's Magic Card Pad.

The price is nothing if you are a professional, and this item is well worth the price. It kills audiences, and leaves them with a very memorable souvenir. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4hpxkpzk09o I like it a lot, and I saw Ben Salinas do a great routine to music and using a spectator with this, and the room erupted. You have to see it done well in person to fully appreciate it.

By all means no, if i were doing shows i would easily pay the price, i just don't think it would be worth it for what i would use it for.

Why would you say seven of diamonds would be more effective in a show?

Buy his DVD. He teaches you how to make your own. Materials will cost you about $10 aside from his DVD, some glue, and an exacto knife.

I personally don't think it matters what card rises up. All three are quite easy to remember, and are quite obvious. So just get the one that appeals most to you.

True. I personally think that 3 of hearts is the most easy to understand in the audience's perspective. It's easy to read, see and memorize. But that's just me.

Mine is the 4 of diamonds...it is EXTREMELY EASY to comrehend...besides, straight edges show up better from stage than curves.

Another though...Black shows up better than red on a stage as well...so a good thought about making one would be to build it so that the force card is black and the "card on the bottom of the deck" in the drawing is red. This way, the attention focused on the black is greater.

The reason red shows up worse (especially against a white background) is because the lighting tends to "wash" it out...which make it harder to see...now if you have red with a black border...it tends to do a lot better.

this is all from my and other professionals experiences in using red cards vs. black cards on stage.
