Ok so Im participating in the NYU talent show and I have about five-seven minutes for my part so Ive decided to open up with Jon Allen's silent treatment (which an absoultly brilliant spectacular by the way) and then finishing with a bill in kiwi/orange/lemon. So heres the problem...there are so many versions of this trick with different fruits, thumbtip/no thumbtip, etc...My question is which of these options is the best option:

1. Traditional signed bill in lemon where the bill is vanished and THEN the lemon(or other fruit is presented).
2. Presenting the lemon or kiwi first so that the appearence of the bill is more amazing, but it requires a shuttle pass like bill in kiwi.
3. A take off of joshua jays cornered where the spectator can choose from a basket of fruit and then proceed with the trick!

Before I went strictly mentalism I use to close with bill to lemon routines. I've tried many versions and the best is #2.

Carl Cloutier's version is the version I used because you can introduce the lemon/kiwi before borrowing the bill. The bill is signed and the audience holds onto the kiwi from the start. After cutting it open, they pull it out and it is the signed bill.

Having the bill signed makes a difference. When people talk about the effect afterwards, they HAVE to rule out a switch and then they are left nowhere.

that made the most sense to me...and even then the spectator can choose from a variety of kiwis before the trick starts...because I will be switching it with a shuttle pass to the gimmick anyways
