who many tricks could you do in a magic show.help!!!!!!

it depends on what kind of magic show. if its just one for family and friends, you need to do the just amount to keep there attention (oh say like 10 tricks) and for a public show or just a larger production it needs to be considerably more(like 18 ). in all though its really how much you want, no one can decide for you, you need to see how many you could be confortable doing, and also how many you can do well.

Seriously enough effects to fill your time.....More is better in case something goes wrong and you can have a back up or two....

I do about 7-10 routines for an hour B-Day party.....

I try to work out of a brief case!Not carring much as possible! I do a 30 minute comedy magic show with only 8 to 9 effects! and then a 30minutes of Balloon animal's.It doesnt matter all the time how many effects.Kids just loved to be entertained.

All of you should start attending Ring meetings. I have been doing parties for several years now and recently rewrote my whole routine. After listening to some of the greatest magi living today, among them, Eugene Berger and Jeff McBryde, I now do 3 or 4 effects in a half hour show and 6 to 7 in an hour show. It is the patter that entertains, especially with children the patter is what gets them.

I now get at least three parties off of every one I do just because the parents see how the kids are absorbed in the story I am telling useing magic as the venue for the story.

Anybody can just run tricks. A Magician keeps the audience suspended in our world of magic.

I agree I think David Ginn is a genius..his material is very good.
