I just received BFB the other day and I was wondering if anyone else out there has ever seen the illusion or tried it.

It looks like it will be a good effect if the setup can be accomplished with no problems. Although it looks like the setup will take some time to get it right. Also, if you have the illusion you'll know the directions that come with it say the ball can be prepared right before the show "in the dressing room", it says.
This isn't practical since my setup already takes awhile and I'm doing kid's show magic.

Can the ball be prepared the night before or is that too long?

Thoughts???

Randy

snedglow,

On some of the other boards I've heard a lot of bad things about BFB you'll have to post a review and let us know what you think.

Can you give me the addresses for some of the other boards? Maybe I can pick up some tips there for setting up the illusion.

If you don't know what BFB is, and without giving away a secret, it's a basic levitation effect whereby you show the audience a silver ball not much smaller than a basketball, then simply let it go and it hovers in thin air.
You then run it through a series of manipulations; through the ring, etc ...

It reads like a cool effect, anyway, but I haven't actually tried to set it upyet.

Most of what I read about the BFB was at the Magic Cafe.

Oh, how I've learned.

Yep, the Magic Cafe has plenty of posts about Braco's Ball and I read through at least 40 of them without finding a single one with something good to say.

So I have learned that from now on I will consult the boards before I make the purchase. The ad was very misleading and I sent an email to Hank Lee's before I purchased asking what came with the illusion and received the following answer:

You get the gimmick and instructions. The trick does require some assembly.

That of course led me to believe I was getting more than what the trick comes with. Needless to say, don't waste your money on BFB.
