How are the linking rings. The one with 8 rings. Is it very hard?

Linking rings in general are a hard effect to master. To make it very smooth and flawless, much like any other trick will take time and practise. Get a set and just practise with them. ( I would recomend 3 tto start with) then get more when you feel you can handle them.

The Linking Rings is a beautiful, traditional effect. Sometimes I will ask specifically for the rings. It has been done FOREVER (some may say over done). Done well, the rings can be awesome magic. But Matt is correct, it will take practice.

I would recommend that you start out with a set of 8 rings. You can pick these up anywhere. Six inch rings won't cost you much and can be done relatively close up or on a small stage. You can go larger, but it will cost more. There are a TON of routines out there, some with 3 rings, some with 4, with 6 and with 8. And any number in between. If you purchase the 8 ring set, you will mostly have what you need to do most of those other routines. Many DVDs and books cover routines.

It is a classic of magic and I would recommend that you spend the time to learn it well. Even if poeple know how to do it (because it showed up in their kid's magic set), if the rings are in the hands of an excellent ring worker, you can still blow them away.
