I just got booked for a children's christmas show. I know it doesn't sound big, but actually it is for the friends and families of a government union. I understand that last year, there were over five thousand people in attendance. This will be a formal stage show. I already have much of it planned out in my head and I have started a rehearsal schedule. The lighting, backdrops and sound system are all tested and ready to go.

So far, the show goes like this:

1. Flash Appearance (Appearance)
2. Dancing Cane (Animation)
3. Lady from the Light (Appearance)
4. Jumbo Linking Rings (Penetration)
5. Losander's Zombie Ball (Levitation)
6. Sean Bogounia's Dancing Hank Combo (Animation)

The only thing I need is a really strong finish to the routine. Ideally this would be a very large scale production sequence. Any ideas?

Sounds good so far. As for the finale, how bout the seance cloth and change into santa or appear for the back of the auditorium. Just an idea. Hope it helped a bit

Good ideas. But doing a runaround for an appearance at the back of the audotorium will be very difficult (I've already checked out the venue), and I have learned from past experience that you can't compete against Santa. For that reason, I really don't want him on the stage with me at the same time (No offense to the big guy :D )

I really like the flash appearance idea, but then I need a good opener. What do you think about a tip over trunk costume change for the appearance of an assistant? I was thinking that I could have the trunk in the middle of the stage next to an open wardrobe closet. I show the trunk empty and then have a spectator choose one of three outfits in the closet. The spectator takes that outfit and throws it into the trunk. The lid is closed and immediately my assistant appears from the trunk dressed in the chosen outfit. I already have the props, but I would need to train an assitant for the effect. Yes? No?

A dove routine is good for openers

For the finale get jumbo christmas colored mouth coils and do the basic mouth coil routine. Then at the end when everyone thinks its over you throw a tone of jumbo red or white kabukee streamers out into the audience.

You can purchase kabukee streamers from your local dealer. :D

A good ending would be with a Merry CHristmas silk. I found 36inch silks for about 15 bucks. Also, Snowstorm in China would sound good, but just check with whoever in cleaning up. It makes a big mess.
