I am looking for some feed back on this routine. Is it worth the money to add to my stage show perfomance? If someone could help me out before purchase it would be great.[/quote]

It's a very visual children's effect, but the difficulty I have with it is the patter. I can't figure out a good story line to go with the effect other than the old traffic light stuff. But even then, the story line doesn't make sense. Why put the red light into a little box with a Court Jester on it? This is the key weakness to this effect. Without a good story line, it's just another trick.

It is one of my favorite tricks. I am thinking about making a larger version of it. It will be around 3 or 4 feet tall.

This is a very good trick and can be use to illustrate various things. It is mainly for kids but adults get puzzled by it too. I have heard patter used as follows:
1. Safety message, typical stoplight
2. Story about Johnny Appleseed with the 3 balls representing 3 types of apples
3. Can make up story about 3 colored balls and one would not behave, never listening and doing his own thing (it does not have to be serious patter, act surprised when the ball won't listen to you) then use the box as going to his room until he behaves (kids can relate to this).
4. Can also be used in a Gospel setting.
The truth is it can be used to tell different stories, only limited by your imagination.
Oh and as far as the Joker on the box, I just got some flat black spray paint and painted over it. Don't know why the joker is there anyway? :?

Thanks for the ideas fcchief. I particularly like the "go to your room" suggestion.

The vanish box included with the trick is ok. I prefer using more visual types of vanishes for the last ball, or at least a better type of gimmicked device that makes the trick a little less obvious.

I was wondering what else there was to use...I have a smaller version of the Strat-o-sphere. The balls are about 1.5 inches high and they can fit into my mirror box which is all that I use for it.

Sorry. The box included included with the trick is easy to figure out for many people. I prefer a mirrror box, a drawer box, or a vanish that I came up with where it looks as if it visually vanishes from my hand. It's my own creation and works well for me.

Penguin has had this item out of stock for over two months now. They said that they will be getting more in before October, so keep your eyes open for it.

It's a really popular trick.

awsome effect, I think its great of all audences, we made up our own patter for stage shows so it doesn't come across so much as a kids trick. Highly recomended.
