13? I dont think that the castle will have you at 13.
and the gun thing. DONT DO IT!!!!.
with all the gun crimes around the world, Acts using guns are becoming very non p.c.
Plus, in order to travel with it, you will have to have an enormous amount of paperwork.

Why are you posting this in two different forums? People prepare for years before even applying for an audition at the Magic Castle. It is one of the very few orgainzations that has maintained a very elite status. Do not underestimate their admissions criteria!

I'm assuming you live in LA. Join the SAM or IBM. Practice for a few years. Get really good. WHen you turn 18, then you apply.

If you have to ask us what tricks to do, you're not ready.

I do believe they have junior memberships also, which he may qualify. But being objective, if you have to ask for recommendations on a routine, I would wait and develop your own routine, no matter how long it takes.

In Canada, you may want to consider

1. Canadian Association of Magicians
2. Pacific Coast Association of Magicians
3. International Brotherhood of Magicians (check for your local ring)

Most of these organizations are not as exclusive as the Magic Castle, but you will find a lot of support in them.

Actually they don't. That would be illegal. They have a program for magicians under the age of 21 but over the age of 13. You can be a member of this junior program. Like me.

Yeah, but i had understood that it was very different to adult membership. It is a lot diiferent to adult membership, and that you don't get the same priveliges. Also its easier to get into and you have to pass another test to become an adult member They sound pretty different.
