Anyone have recommendations for a non-abrasive polish for brass items and copper coins?

I use BAM cleaner (It is in a Purple Bottle). Just put it in a bowl and add the items to be cleaned. Wait a few seconds and remove, rinse with warm water and towel dry. It works great.

Have you tried ketchup, hot sauce or lemon juice? Vinegar is the key. It's cheap and you probably have it on hand. Rinse in cool water after cleaning and dry with a soft cloth. Where it works, apply a very light coat of paste wax or Turtle wax and buff. Waxing works on props like cups, bowls and the like but it would cause something like a coin to slip. Hope this helps!!!

Bug juice! Sorry... thought I was still in the Navy. Red Kool-Aid. Use just the Kool-Aid, no sugar, very little water. It is crazy acidic and polishes brass like nothing else!

I use Bon Ami (more common is Bar Keepers Friend). It is like a Comet type powder but non-abrasive.

You can also put a thin coat of paste wax, or lemon oil to help them stay bright.
