It was fried chicken...not KFC chicken specifically, I just thought it would be a good enough hint to get someone to figure it out...It's actually not a bad riddle if you don't take it so seriously...Most riddles are like that anyway, they seem complicated, but really have a simple solution...

Balcony seating at the opera is by ticket only, and all the tickets are sold and all the ticketholders are in line to enter. But it turns out that the first person through the door is rather inebriated by the time the hall is open for seating and, instead of taking the properly assigned seat, chooses a chair at random (presumably the one with the lowest-seeming relative velocity to his or her person). The next people come in one at a time—and if their seat is available, they take it. But if someone is already sitting there, rather than disrupt things, they just pick some other random seat. Which raises the question, "what is the probability that the last opera lover ends up in his or her assigned seat?"

No, wait, it's going to be 1/2 because either someone is sitting in their seat or someone isn't. If someone isn't sitting in their seat they cans it in their seat, if someone is, they can't.

The only way this wouldn't be the case is if the first person took his seat from the beginning (but we would have to know this, and we don't).

actually thats prob wrong, I heard this one years ago from my chiropractor but I can't remember what he told me when I was 8...
