Very true. However, Roger NEVER thought he was a good singer. His voice is much more an acting/speaking voice, while Gilmour's is much more for singing.

However, Gilmour's voice is much easier to recreate, while Roger's is original and hard to recreate. He has his new guitarist sing Gilmour's parts.

And in my opinion, Roger Waters has so much more passion than David Gilmour when performing. I'm not discrediting David Gilmour, because he is a great musician, but Roger Waters is a showman. As Waters said at his last show here...

'You Boston folk are god darn loud tonight....and I [edited] love it!' :)

What keyboard do you use? Who are your keyboard influences? What kind of band?

(I'm a synthesist myself)

I have a 300 dollar Yamaha, but I'm getting an 800 dollar one for my b-day. I don't want to brag, but I'm a prodigy. LOL. I have a rock band. I have a music studio in my house. Keyboards, amps, guitars, drum sets, mikes, recording equipment, lighting, etc. Do you have a band, Manic_B?

Yeah, I'm in a couple of bands. Still need to get some good demos together though.

What 800 dollar yamaha are you getting? It better be pretty awesome, for $800 you could get say a second-hand AN1x synth and an A3000 sampler... New instruments are overpriced. I mostly use an 80s FM synth I got for under $100.

New keyboards seem to come with more sounds and better sequencers, but I want to make my own sounds and them play them live, so I prefer to try and pick up more flexible stuff.

You have a studio? You lucky sod. I hope you're making good use of it, got any recordings?

I listen to alot of different types of music
except for country, and the newer rap stuff(everyone's trying to be a gangster these days).

stuff Ive been listening to ALOT lately:
Iggy Pop (if you don't know who he is then you need a serious history lesson.)

Amon Amarth-with Odin on our side (amazing viking metal)

Devo

Therion- orchestral,symphonic metal

Kraftwerk

Marden Hill- Hijacked (an interesting mix of jazz, hiphop, alternative).

Just a small sampling of some stuff I like.

This is my new favorite song. I'm starting to get into this band, Clutch. I like this song and Mice & Gods. Anyone else listen to them?

Electric Worry by Clutch

I love how it's bluesy but rock at the same time. Clutch rocks!
