PS3 Pro's and Cons...

what reason do I have not to get a PS3?

ok, so now I'm thinking about getting a PS3 instead of an Xbox 360...but what reason do I have not to? what's bad about PS3

-please don't involve game sin this discussion, i already know what games i think are good and bad for both systems.

and um...if you want to point out the good stuff, you can do that too...

i think that right now the ps3 is a head of its time, and there are very few people who can program for its full capacity, and because of the game development costs more thus more expensive games...and as of now, they (ps3 and 360) are about equal in game play

I would say 360 has better gameplay, just because of the online. I would get a 360 for the lone purpose of being part of the best online ever, period. The 360 also has better games.

There was an article in PSM (Playstation Magazine) which compared the two different PS3"s.

The $399 PS3 version will play Blu-Ray discs, PS3 games and PS One games. It does not support any PS2 games, meaning it's backward capability is limited.

The $499 PS3 version will play Blu-Ray discs, PS3 games, PS One games and only some PS2 games. This means that the backward capability is somewhat less limited. The article did not mention which PS2 games can be played on this version and which games cannot be played.

Get a PS3. You get free online play, some good "hardcore" games (if you're into that), and a BluRay player. What's not to like?

I don't understand how the ps3 is even the slightest appealing when it comes to a gaming system.

It is easy, if you want a VIDEO GAME system, then get the 360. If you want to watch movies and have a crazy surround sound and nice set up, then buy the ps3.

If you wanna "play games now" get the 360. PS3 still needs more time. I simply have one so I can watch blu-rays and occasionally play.

I would be getting it in September, a month before LittleBigPlanet comes out(which I am getting hands down)...so this doesn't really apply. and for me, Blu-Ray is juts a bonus.

I made a list of games I want for both systems, my list for PS3 was twice as long as the 360 one....so this really isn't true....

I honestly dislike the MGS games, so...I wouldn't be getting this anyway...

There isn't much of a difference. I think the XBOX controllers are more comfortable.
