A nickle from everyone who read the title wrong?

I'm picking my classes for junior year (highschool) and one that is sticking out to me a lot is Honors German 3. I took 1 and I'm doing 2 now, but I have really been connecting to it. The whole language is really interesting and the way the teacher in my school teaches it is just great. I'm surprised by how much I actually remember. Plus, if anybody else has tried, it is really cool to be able to speak another language.

Anybody else taking or thinking about learning German?

I took German ALL through high school, and did the intensive course, and even minored in it during college.

Today 20 years later, I've forgotten all of it. Wish I had spent my time on Spanish, that REALLY would have helped me considering I'm in Texas.

I'm trying to teach myself French right now (independently, not taking a course, but I might take a course when I start college.)

I'm hoping to expand on it in senior year (hoping there will be a german 4 class) and possibly studying it in college a little. It would be great to eventually visit Germany and maybe even work there a little bit. I've heard Rosetta Stone is an amazing resource if you have the money.

I took German for a year, in college, and I was tutored by my then girlfriend/fiancé, who was German/Bavarian.

It really didn't "stick" until I was immersed into it by living in Bavaria for a few years.

Living back in California, it slips away, however, I try to keep recalling it daily and have a few German speaking friends at the Magic Castle that help out. Plus telephone calls to family and friends back in Bavaria help.

I'm flying back to Bavaria this July, so I must tutor myself into conversational German by then.

I love to learn another language. I speak English, German and of course Danish fluently. I know a little Spanish, and Swedish Norwegian.

I think it's always just great to be able to communicate with other people!

This is what Tryllearne said for those who don't read or speak German. Yes I am showing off so spank me
