Now I know this topic has popped up before, but I thought it'd be nice to bring it back just to get some input and stuff.

So what browser do you use?

I use Chrome.
I have tried the following:
-Internet Explorer 7
-Firefox 4 (beta) (and previous versions)
-Netscape
-Opera
-Flock
-SeaMonkey
-Safari
And I have found Chrome to be the most efficient for what I use the internet for. Other than Chrome, I can only really recommend Flock and previous versions of Firefox (but I honestly don't really like FireFox). Also, Safari on Macs, but definitely not on Windows.

So what browser do you use? And why?

It's not good...in my opinion. it's like when FireFox was in its early stages...

I like the functionality in Opera better by default, but I use Firefox because of the plugins.

Safari, it came on my mac and I haven't had any problems ever. I also like the way it works compared to chrome and internet explorer which are really the only two browsers I have enough experience with to compare it to.

I use Firefox for everything besides for flash things (videos & games).

For Mac users, it's generally between Firefox and Safari. Safari is faster and renders pages more accurately; Firefox has more extensions and plugins. I favour the former, and the Glims plugin for Safari adds all the additional functionality I need. The only uses I have for Firefox are a) to test what web pages look like in Firefox; b) to spoof http headers so I can view America-only video content in England.

I've played around with the IE9 beta and it looks very promising. I'm thinking it will be my browser of choice on Windows. Anything less than version 9 is pretty awful compared to the competitors, but MS is slowly catching up. Betas aside, the usual choice for Windows users is Chrome vs Firefox, with the same set of advantages and disadvantages as in my first paragraph, with Chrome standing in for Safari.

Used to use Opera on my old laptop but it had heaps of problems (probably not to do with Opera) then moved on to Firefox and now on my new laptop, I kept to using Firefox.

True enough, but for me, when I used FireFox, I ran a lot of plug-ins, but I find that I only use one extension with Chrome. I suppose I could, and probably will look for more sometime, but I just don't tend to think about it...

I use a portal to the nether dimensions powered by thirteen blood-red hamsters running on a black, sigil-marked treadmill. Every round the treadmill goes incants a magical spell that maintains the portal. If I want to open a new browser window, I must kill a virgin white dove and draw a window on the rock with its blood.

It's troublesome, I know, but it beats having to use IE.
