Happy thoughts just aired and it was awesome! Daniel Tosh is the best comedian alive. Who else saw Happy Thoughts?

Just finished watching it. I remember when Tosh first started to become popular after his first special. I loved his work because I tend to be overly sarcastic and cynical myself. This special is one of the best stand up specials I've ever seen. The material was all well put together and his timing is spot on. He knows what his audience wants to see and how to give it to them. I can't wait until this comes out on DVD, probably tomorrow, and the extended version is out there. That'll be fun.

I can't stand Daniel Tosh. I've never liked him or his style. I suppose I might give this a shot, but I would definitely argue, at this point, that he is far from the greatest comedian alive.

*GASP* well, I guess everyone's entitled to their opinion, but ever since his first special I've loved him. Best comedian ever if you ask me :D

Anything in particular that you don't like about him or is it just his style in general?

I actually watched one of his Comedy Central Presents performances and really enjoyed him. I guess I just don't like Tosh.0.

Tosh.0 is kind of a weird format. I'm actually surprised it worked. You should check out Happy Thoughts. It's not all the kind of off the wall comedy that he did in his first special. He actually brings up, and subsequently mocks, some really interesting stuff. Everything from high school commencement speeches to the founding fathers. It's a really interesting point of view.

I set it to record.

Saw it the other night and I must say that I was not impressed. I believed I chuckled a little once during the whole thing. To me it seemed like he was trying to hard to be the extermely edgy guy that he thinks everyone wants him to be. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed his earlier stand up as well as Tosh.0 but this just fell flat for me.

Better luck next time Daniel.

As always,
Dylan

This, except the exact opposite.

I thought it was hilarious!

Exactly. That's just his persona. He's being ironic when he says things that make it sound like everyone wants to be him. Wow. A lot of mixed opinions here, but everyone I've talked to in person loved it.

The whole "sex with a fictional baby" was pretty great.

My favorite part was easily the condemning the racism and sexism in our heroes of the past. I've always wondered why no one really tackled it in this way.
