has anyone else noticed that a number of ppl are leaving penguin town. sad to say this is the only magic board i consult and how great is that gonna be if im the only one??? who know's i might even become a mod some day

Don't worry, im not leaving.

This happens all the time on all sorts of forums. A few people decide to leave from time to time, but there's always enough newcomers to compensate for the loss in numbers.

any way its something bigs gonna happen, so that may attract a whole lot more people!

I wouldn't worry about it too much. Along with what Frij said (about newcomers) I think many of the people who left will return. I'm not calling them liars but I do think these boards will return to how they used to be. If the people who have left are still lurking and they see that the boards are getting better, they might come back.

All forums seem to go through this cycle. Flame wars and spammers get people angry - people leave - forums get better - people come back....over and over.

i was thinking of leaving........with all these stupid topics like ''look im leaving! wish me luck"and "look!i got 500 posts!i am now born to perform!"
moderators locking so many topics because "its getting to out of hand"yeah right.so many topics saying the "boards are getting worst"whiners

Ive nearly got 500 posts....um no where near, but if I leave this post and in a couple of months people will say "heh look hes got 499 posts he is close!"

I have got 184 posts so I can check it out later 2 look back!

but you gotta admit, the boards have been nice the past few weeks. People are leaving while people are becoming nice... that really stinks...

I think it's unrealistic for people to think that the boards are gonna change just because they want it too.

These things have been going on on forums since home computers were invented. Like mentioned above, things like this go in circles...sometimes things go along nicely for a while, then all of a sudden there's an outburst...people complain about it....then things return to normal for another while...then the same thing happens all over again.

This happens repeatedly. The proof is right here on these forums. We've been through all this before, several times. Nothing is going to change permanently, it's goona go on and on and on.

and on and on............until penguin gets bankrupted
