Wow, redpup is an intellectual :-)

Are we talking about Machiavelli's The Prince? If not, you should be more specific in your message titles :-)

I confess, I only read parts of The Prince a long time ago.

However, I recently read The 48 Laws of Power by Robert Greene. It presents 48 laws with which to acquire and maintain power, and illustrates them with historical anecdotes. It is a very interesting read, in the spirit of The Prince. I highly recommend it. It was a bestseller, so should be fairly easy to find in your local bookstore or library.

Study Machiavelli, and the 48 laws of power I mentioned, and perhaps you will develop into a moderator on the Penguin magic forums :-)

I too think it's a good book and others must think the same as it's been in publication for so long . Lot's of psycho-social info with militarism on the side. Try Sun-Tzu's Art of War for another take on the game.
