I own the movie. It's really a powerful film. It's really upsetting and sad, and motivating too.

I would recommend it to anyone.

Desenting opinion here. I advocate the freedom to own firearms and am glad the U.S.A. still allows this freedom. I'm not sure of the statistics given in that clip, but does it count in the homicide totals death of criminals shot in the act of a crime but a lawful gunowner and or police officer ? * IF * that is so, I do not believe those deaths should be included in the total. Again I personally do not know if they are or not. Also what are the total homicides in each country ? What is that number as a percentage to each country's population . That would be interesting to know as because firearms are plentiful here and then may be just the most easily accessed item to commit a homicide. Where in some parts of world , knives and machetes are easy to get ahold of and the homicides are committed mainly with these instruments. Other countries probably have a higher rate of machete homicides than the U.S. , even with a small population- get rid of machetes? Lastly, we may just be a more violent culture than the rest of the world , I do not know. If so I'm glad to be able to protect myself and family if it ever came to that. And I'd rather have a firearm at my disposal than a club , knife , or barehands. I personally do not lose even a second of sleep, not go places, feel a bit afraid here in the U.S. whether I'm armed with gun and knife or totally unarmed during my normal day to day activities. Actually gang activities , including drive-by-shootings have dropped * dramatically * since my state allowed honest , law-abiding citizens the right to concealed carry of a sidearm ! Guns are out there and will be whether they are outlawed or not. But " only outlaws will have guns, if guns are outlawed ." leaving the masses at the mercy of those who would prey upon them. This is my, and many other's in America's opinion ( Before I get replys from the "fantasyland folks ", I said " many other's " not "everyone's ". ).

That webpage is good but it is only the tip of the iceberg of bowling for columbine. This video is absolutely unbelievable, the points made are thought-provoking, and Michael Moore is a riot.

This guy is a freakin moron. LOL

He talks about the blind guy who applied for a gun permit. In the movie it showed a guy who was legally blind receiving a CCW permit. This guy says Moore isnt telling the whole story. He goes on to say that "Once again however, Moore isn't telling the whole story. True, the state of North Dakota did issue a permit to McWilliams to carry a concealed weapon. But, he is not totally blind. He is able to distinguish day from night, light from dark."

I don't know about you but I feel better that some guy who can ONLY distingush light from dark is carrying a firearm. This guy is a complete moron. If he was smart enough to understand anything at all, I would email him, but I think it would be a total waste of time. That was the only part of the website I looked it, who knows what other BS he has there...LMAO

By the way, great film. Loved it.
