I graduated from a Big Ten school (*cough*Ohio State*cough*)..I am a Big Ten fan by birth...

But....I can't get over how fantastic the ACC is this year. Sure...they're strong most years..but I'd have to admit..this is the first time I've actually paid attention before the tournament.

I'm a Maryland fan only because Gary Williams is there coaching (he coached OSU for a stint). Maryland is a good team but they've been getting wiped out by some strong teams in the ACC. These games are great to watch...unlike....I'm ashamed to say....the Big Ten. I watch Big Ten games this year and want to fall asleep.

Anyway....Go Terps! Oh...and my first school....Go Kent State!!!

*feeling March madness start a fever*

Any other basketball fans here??

Dig it. :D

As much as I truly love the competitive and solid fundemental nature of NCAA basketball, I find it extremely difficult to get overly excited about it til the tourney gets down to the final 8 teams.

Hockey being my first sport, it tends to get more attention from me.

Ahhh...sports fans.

Hockey, eh? Who's your fav?

I do enjoy hockey as well. Especially the Blue Jackets (seeing a trend here?)

UConn....that preseason loss was a shocker.

Favorite Hockey team? Why not ask a parent which is their favorite child? LOL! I love Hockey in general, it is so hard to pick one favorite team though. If I absolutely had to, I would go with my AVS!!!!!!!, they are the hometeam after all. But my first team was the Red Wings, it is utter agony when they play eachother....I almost never watch those games.

The Blue Jackets are on the verge of being a good team. They are like two or three seasoned vets away from being 'there' if you know what I mean. They are always exciting to watch and always play my Avs very tough.

HOCKEY RULES! 8)

Yes. The Avs...they were my old roommates favorite team. Before we had the Blue Jackets I was a die hard Blackhawks fan.

Speaking of the Red Wings....when Chicago and the Red Wings played....it was crazy. Those were alway intense games. But I'm talkin' back in 94'.

Last game I saw was the Jackets and San Jose on New Years Eve....great game....they lost...but still...great game.

Anyway...I digress....go b-ball :D

Yeah the ACC is a tough conference. I am from atlanta and am a huge GA Tech fan and now I live in Iowa and the big ten is awful in b-ball and pretty boring in football as well, and I know that Ohio State won the title in 2002 but big ten football is uneventful. Sweep here, trap there and lets run a post pattern. The south schools open it up and air it out,now that is fun to watch. Anyway I can't wait till tourny time...

love basketball to the fullest. im from iowa so of course im going to have to root for the hawkeyes. i have a buddy that played for th hawkeyes but is off now for academic suspension or soemthign lkike that. mike henderson. my brohter played against him in high school and he is a great athlete. another player that is going to iowa next year is carlton reed from waterloo east high school. look out for this kid. in one game against wahlert high school he out scored the whole wahlert team with 42 points. iowas program might be looking up if mike and carlton, former teammates at east high, can work together. so in the coming years look out for the hawkeyes!

Born and raised in Durham, NC, so my whole life I've grown up in the midst of the Duke/UNC rivalry. Always have, and always will support Duke when it comes to college ball.

Well deserved victory from a ranked team that played well and finally beat em at their house...Good job....By the way they (your team) beat us (UCONN) when we were #1 back in Nov,

Yeah , they have some very good young talent, they just need to remain locked in and they should make it pretty far in the tourney.
