There has been a lot of controversy over needing new moderators, penguin not complying, etc. But I'd like to say that the forums are doing just fine with the severe lack of mods. In fact, we might even be better off.

When a moderator edits or deletes a post, what follows is a complaint from the poster, a retaliation from the mods, and usually the makings of a flame war. Now, when somebody spams, everybody ignores. Curses, people kindly suggest that he edit it, and usually he will. Personal attacks, no one throws oil on the flame. Exposes, or asks for exposure, he's shot down by everyone and the thread goes nowhere (without being locked).

I am not blaming the moderators for any of the problems the boards had in the previous month or two. But I am commending almost all of you for followin the rules, keeping your cool, and making Penguin great independent of any moderator activity.

I agree. It seems as though there are alot of arguments dealing with mod edits.

i agree about the arguments and such. I think one reason is because people are too lazy to just spend 2 minutes reading all the rules before they post. But dont forget we had people who did/do it on purpose just to be jerks.

I think the boards have gotten considerably better over the past few months. Im very happy with where they have gotten.
