Come on guys, look aroud there are about 9 threads on new mods. Use the search before you make a new one, I didn't think there would be so many posts about it, Hopefully it will settle down.

The only problem is that all the old mod threads have been mysteriously locked somhow so newones keep being made.

I perceive the "problem" (if indeed there is a problem) as two fold:

1. None of the usuall suspects became moderators. I believe the last moderator announced was RoatC and he was welcomed with open arms and I don't recall a single complaint. The perception (correctly so) was that he had earned and deserved it.

2. New mods just sort of seeped out of the woodwork... that paired with a Bshack kerfluffel just left the whole process feeling somewhat unprofessional. Where was the "official announcement" from the Administrators informing the community of the new moderators and the big show of support and thanks for accepting the position? If that's the welcome you (don't) get prepare for the remainder to be the same.

Who ever said the Admins gave a hoot in the first place? They don't participate in these forums and that's a shame.
At any rate, I have nothing against any of the new Mods. I welcome them all with open arms and wish them all luck.
