I want to get into this, I posted a bulletin earlier and got some advice from Mike. (Thanks!) Here's a list of what I'm looking at getting. Anything I shouldn't get, or anything I should substitute? I'd like to maybe find something on cuffs for less than the hmtk kit.

I'd like to know if there's anything comparable to the HMTK kit that won't put me out so much financially. Also, my dad still needs some convincing to let me do this. He said it seems risky (but he'll let me get a driver's permit ) any selling points would help. Thanks!
