Hello,
Here is a short report on my original escape "Dragged to Death" done this past Saturday.
On Sat I performed this in front of a record breaking crowd at Sauble Beach, Ontario, Canada.
There were over 15,000 people at the beach (the most ever in it's history for opening day) and over 1500 of these assembled in position to see my escape.
During the escape I had a small problem and did not get my last thumb out of the thumbscrews of the Vlad Shackle until the vehicle had already taken off and there was basically no rope left.
So, as I often do, I "did what I had to do" and I broke my thumb to get it free.
Good idea too, because there was only a split second left before the rope between me and the vehicle went taught.
I had a choice and I chose to break my thumb and have a chance at surviving.
The escape made the front page of one newspaper in full colour and with an unprecidented 4 photographs.
This article as well as pics of the escape and possibly a video will soon be up on my site at
www.thedarkmaster.com
A few days before I did this escape, some idiot on the Magic Cafe was spouting off about how I was lying about the danger in this stunt on my website and that they were "offended" because I was trying to B.S. "those who know better".
Yeah, right...
Well folks, I am no David Blaine or Criss Angel.
What I do is REAL.
In response to any and all naysayers regarding my escapology work I say the following:
When anyone can get thousands of people to come out to see them perform and break attendance records as well as make front page news, and, when one comes so close to disaster that they have to fracture a part of thier own body to avoid being killed, then I guess they have something to say that I just might consider giving some serious consideration to.
Until that time, I will just continue living up to my Ripley's Believe it or Not title of "The World's Most Extreme Escape Artist".
