I was watching the travel channel, the most haunted places. Dixie Dooley was on there, believeing that Houdinis ghost was haunting his show. Hes pretty cool, i like Dixie. I would love to see one of his shows. I just thought I would post this. Its interesting.

I am going to see him when we head to Vegas in December he is playing at the Westin. I liked your post and thought I would add another.

Ahh...Dixie Dooley. Houdini haunting his show, huh? Figures....All those years of conducting Houdini seances, and NOW he shows up. Maybe if you listen very carefully, you can hear him whisper in the theater..."Believe".

By the way, good luck on your upcoming SJ escape. Would love to see a vid.

Thanks. It will DEFINITELY be on video. Been waiting for a good one to finish off the DVD with. Been having lots of problems with the Crane companies' insurance. They won't allow the cranes to lift a person up. Been through 6 this week. Then I came up with the idea of using a helicopter instead of a crane. Then I discovered the price! OUTRAGEOUS! Average price was $750 an hour! So I called the Department of Defense. I'm doing this event at a park that is a few miles away from an Army base. Two days later, they email me and decline because their participation in my event breaks 3 military regulations. Go figure.

To make a long story short, just when I'm ready to cancel the whole thing, I get the idea of using some misdirection with the crane company's insurance. I suggested changing the stunt to being in a SJ, then in mailbag, locked in a crate, padlocked and chained and having the lid nailed on, then suspend the crate on the burning rope from the crane. I had to add an illusion twist to it, but they went for it! Rubes! Basically the same idea....hanging 100 feet in the air by a burning rope, but different method. Talk about MISDIRECTION! Whew! Anyway. Thanks again for the best wishes. Once I get the video edited, Ill post a video of it on my website. I'll let you know when it's up. Event's on the 8th, so give me about a week after that.
