Tem Buzz, you have to watch what you buy when it comes to antique locks and cuffs.....there are a lot of cheap forgeries out there, and people try to play dumb when selling them. They know that it is not antique and that it is a piece of c-rap, but still thay advertise it as antique, medieval, or whatever. They always say that as far as they know, these cuffs, locks, or shackles are very old.....but they are not sure.

It is alright to buy forgeries if you know what you are buying and the price reflects it. If you have a piece in mind that you are looking to buy, you can e-mail me and have me look at it before you bid; I am pretty knowledgable about what most pieces are worth.
