I hope all you Penguins across the pond are doing good, and none of you got hurt. I also hope none of your family or friends were hurt either.

My condolensces to you all.

A terrorist boming, killing at least 50 people, and injuring hundreds. They were in the subway, on trains, and even on a double-decker bus.

"at least 50 people". No, 38 people at the moment.

My uncle got a broken arm. Other than that, noone I know's harmed. I don't see why the media's hyping it up. It was incredibly low-scale.

Knocking out the tube network through terrorist activity is pretty major, I'd say, as is blowing up a bus load of people. Doing the two together is pretty big. Not 9/11 big, but still the biggest we've had in Britain in a long long time.

Sorry to hear about your uncle, I hope he recovers quickly.

I'm kind of dazed from the fact that someone tried to kill me...
An attempt to kill random civilians who use public transport in the city of london is an attempt to kill me...

Kind of hits home, doesn't it? It makes you sort of put things into perspective. At least you're physically unharmed. Blessed.

In 2002 I stayed for a week in London, first at the Euston Plaza Hotel

http://www.euston-plaza-hotel.com/

and then in a building next door in a rental flat.

Basically right by where the bus exploded.
