Anyone else sink to the level I did? I thought "hmmm, It says here they hold meetings all over the country... even though I live in Manchester I bet there is one nearby..."

i assume you mean the junior section of the magic circle. I go there all the time. They are all in London. The very occasional one is somewhere else.

Its great if you live near enough.

I live Birningham and i go to the BMS junior section. Perhaps theres somting like that in manchester

Yeah there is but theres no link with the Young Magicians CLub (the junior magic circle if you like) and I just think that that was a waste of money. The one that I go to now is miles better because I can actually go, and its cheaper... £10 a year.

There are workshops every month, he was just stupid enought to join when he doesnt live near London cauisa dats were dey are.

They are great and hav many famous magicians teaching.

the magic circle exists all over the world you know..even here,sweden..

we don't have magic circles*... I'm looking into private lessons though my mum still thinks its a "hobby" when its my passion.

Hmmm...the Magic Circle. I go to a Northern Magic Circle. Personally I think they should re-launch the whole thing. Not meaning to be offensive in any way, but the Magic Circle is getting over run with 60-80 year old magicians, who have no idea what they're talking about, and are still living in the 50's. They're treating magic like it was treated years ago. It needs to be modernised again.

I go to the Doncaster magic circle. I agree that alot of magc societys are being over run by older people, but I only realised when Marc Paul gave his lecture and he was amazed how many young magicians were at our club, The magic circle and other magic societys need modernising.

what do you mean by modernising?

Starting the Magic Circle all over again; intoducing it to the 21st century instead of a reintroduction to the 50's every decade. Basically...kick out the old people and bring in our modern day proffesionals to be the presidents and chairmen etc.

dose anyone know if theres a magic club in holland?

actually, the magic circle (the famous one) only exists in london, the others only call themselves magic circles!
