Believe it or not, Penguin Magic actually welcomes CONSTRUCTIVE negative reviews of its products. Why? Because we want you to purchase things that you LOVE. If for some reason a product earns a series of bad reviews, we want potential buyers to know why up front, BEFORE the purchase is made. If a trick is difficult to do and the demo video suggests that it's not, we want that information out there so people can make informed decisions. Negative reviews will also let us know what products we shouldn't bother carrying. So, keep the constructive criticism and genuine negative comments coming -- we'll post those, too.
What do we mean by "constructive"? Words/phrases like "sucks", "worst product ever" and "it bites" are not constructive. We will not post a review with those words or phrases in it for the sake of the artist responsible for inventing the trick, not to mention our wanting to keep the site clean.
Rather than emphasizing how the product ranks (which the stars already do anyway), explain why the effect didn't work out for you. Let us know if you think the demo video suggests something that differs from your experience. If you really do think the product was awful, give it 1 star and focus on why. This way your review will have a much better shot of making it onto the site.
Best,
Kevin Froehlich
