depends. i would say dress nice, but casual. but make sure everyone knows that you are a performer. so not too casual. but a tux is too much.

many people say one step above everyone else.

If people wear casual with jeans..............you wear nice pants with a collared shirt

If people wear nice pants with a colored shirt........you wear suit pants with a button down shirt.

If people wear suit pants iwth a button down shirt.........you wear a 3 piece suit.

If people wear a 3 piece suit............you wear a tux

If people wear a tux.............you wear a colored tux.

Hope this helps.

Wear what fits your type of performance. If you're doing a goofy kids show, you may want to dress goofy (clothes that really don't match).

My show goes through different moods, so I kinda just dress normal (not complete casual, but kinda casual).

Do you live in a ghetto or other poverty area? With that kind of money you should have gone wearing raggedy clothes.

Sorry but I wouldn't accept a job that cheap. I know you're going to hear "it's his first show!!!!" By accepting below what others charge you are telling the people that you are not good enough so you'll cut the rate and give them a crummy show just to get a job. Remember the saying "if you're not the lead dog, the view never changes. It is a lot harder to raise rates when you have a reputation of being cheap than to lower rates if you're too high.
