I'm wondering if I could use music in libraries. I'm thinking it's probably not allowed and not a good idea, but what do you think? This can also mean, no PA systems?

Also, I have this bit in my act, where it uses a CD (vanishing bandanna) and if that doesn't work out, (because of can't play music) I'd have to replace it...

Well, I don't know what kind of libraries you'll be working in, but some have special areas... or rooms... or even small auditoriums with stages that are used for in-house events such as magic shows. Those that don't have to put the show somewhere where there can be the expectation of noise, whether it be music, magician patter, applause, or screams of bloody horror.

If you are doing a library show and have a librarian standing behind you throughout the show going, "SHHHHHHHHHHHHH...!"... well, that's a problem.

Okay, I'll find out if my library has an auditorium. Now that you mention it, I think there was one!
