Sneak, I totally agree with Kristen. Join in on the discussions about presentation. People need your opinions too.
My personality and my character's personalities (yes there are 2 different characters that I use) determine how I present my effects. Your character is probably different from either of mine so you will present differently. Neither of us is wrong but neither could we switch presentations. Just wouldn't fit each other. That is what I try to stress, don't steal either the script that comes with the trick, or someone else's patter but each one has to develop their own.
Professor Paddy is a medicine show man that goes around the country selling his ancient Irish pain killer. He is from the early 1900's and has an Irish brogue. Paddy The Clown has a different personality, he makes awful mistakes while trying to do something and suddenly a miracle makes it turn out right He kind of stumbles into magical effects.
